Winter Garden

12-26-04. It's the middle of winter. There's a new Japanese lantern, the Texas privet is gone and a potted nandina sits in its old spot, and the new daylily seedlings are flourishing. Many of the pots along the back fence now have stands (made up of cinder blocks and square stepping stones) to make it easier to see them and give them some extra height. The blooms on the pampas grass are finally well above the height of the grass, although the entire pot was knocked over in a storm not too long after that. For some reason, the Mexican sage is still blooming, along with the wallflowers.
